We went to Seattle a couple of weeks ago for my son's basketball tournament. That's him in the number 7 jersey. I'm a very proud parent to say the least. Anyway, it was my first visit back to Seattle in five years. I know. It's crazy! I have no excuse not to visit Seattle since it's so close to Vancouver, but I'm not a fan of road trip. Also, I have no patience. I hate lining up at the border.
Somehow, I underestimated the food in Seattle. The sushi we had at Japonessa was AMAZING! I highly recommend it, but make sure you make reservation. They managed to squeeze us in for an early dinner. The next day, I had this overwhelming craving for sweets so I popped by Cheesecake Factory and ordered their red velvet cheesecake to go. I didn't eat the cheesecake until I came back to Vancouver. It's incredible how the whip cream was still in tact. The cheesecake was scrumptious even my son, Jeremy, who normally doesn't eat any sweets, loves it!
Oh and how can I forget about the man in the striped suit who discreetly stood behind me in one of the photos. Talk about a photo crasher! It's too funny, but I kinda like the photo. LOL! Overall, it was a fun mini family trip. I just found out that I will be visiting Seattle more often since they have tournaments there all the time. That means more excuses to shop and eat.:D

I'm with you! Everytime I visit Vancouver, I'll make a trip down to Seattle, but maaaan, waiting to cross the border is the worst part of it all!
You look so cute in pink and the food looks delicious! I've heard the Din Tai Fung is actually pretty good there. Didn't have a chance to try it last time, but my cousins rave about it all the time! Also, theres a place by the Pike Place Market called Piroshky Piroshky that is fantastic!
love your pink blouse!
i follow you now, follow me back?
xoxo
@Andrea Omg, I totally forgot about Din Tai Fung. We did go, but I forgot to bring my camera so I didn't take any pictures. I thought the portions are quite small and it's not that special, maybe because we have a lot of Taiwanese/Shanghai restaurants here in Vancouver.
Thanks for your recommendation, def checking it out.
