Cape coats are one of the biggest trends of the fall/winter season. The cape is not only for little red riding hoods or superheroes, it has made a powerful statement from the runway to the walkway. Having said that, initially, I'm not too keen on capes. It just seems like a risky style. I didn't think I will ever buy one, but never say never. Last week, I stumbled upon this beautiful camel cape at United Colors of Benetton. This always happens to me. Whenever I'm not in a "buying mood", I always end up getting something. :P
Now that I have the cape, I need to figure out how to wear it. I want to create a chic and sophisticated look that also has a playful touch in it. Since I didn't want to create a lot of volume in the upper part of my body, I balanced it out by wearing skinny jeans. I added in black boots and red lipstick to brighten the look. The cape coat can be a fun, fashionable, and practical item for the cool season. I am loving the cape for this season, are you?
