Thank you so much for reading my blog! I'm ending my blog with one of my other favorite things: cupcakes. I've a major sweet tooth. Anyway, I'm going to take some time off and do a little of soul searching, tidying my library, and finishing my scrapbook projects.
All the best to everyone out there who're still blogging or intending to start a blog. You never know, I might start a new blog once I find something interesting. My motto is to live in the present and enjoy every moment of it. Goodbye!
I'm so happy to be participating in the t+j designs style challenge. The jewelery that I've chosen is my BCBG necklace. I purchased this necklace a year ago and it's been one of my best investments. When it comes to wearing jewelery, I usually choose my outfit first. I'm a firm believer that one outfit cannot be complete without any accessories.
My tips for wearing a statement necklace is to choose a simple neckline, such as this white and red top. I wanted to incorporate some christmas colors in my outfit, so I've chosen the red and white combo. Since I wanted my necklace as a focal point, I went easy with simple earrings. I wore my cocktail rings and sparkly Jimmy Choo sandals to add in a festive vibe to my look.
I don't have a set rules when wearing jewelery. I think it depends on the look you want to create. For example, if I'm wearing a flowing, feminine dress, I would choose delicate jewelery. If I'm wearing a leather jacket, I would choose some edgier jewelery like rings or necklaces with spikes. It's perfectly acceptable to mix gold and silver jewelery together. Also, wearing jewelery should be in proportion to your size. If you're petite, do not wear something that you will drown in. I guess the bottom line is to create something fun, but still reflects your personality. Have fun and experiment in them.
